About Emily (Owner)

My love for bridal began long before I ever stepped into the industry. Like so many others, I grew up watching Say Yes to the Dress, Four Weddings, and every wedding show I could find. I was completely captivated by the magic of it all.

I started working in bridal about five years ago and instantly knew I had found my calling. I loved every part of the experience, from hearing a bride’s story to watching her light up when she found the gown that felt like her. That moment of connection is what made me realize this was exactly where I was meant to be.

I spent two years working at that first bridal boutique, before pursuing gown construction through a fashion design program, where I developed a deep appreciation for the craftsmanship behind every gown. Understanding the structure, stitching, and artistry of a dress has elevated the way I guide my brides, allowing me to offer insight beyond what simply looks beautiful. Though my path shifted, the knowledge I gained has become an invaluable part of how I serve every bride I meet.

I also had the opportunity to work for a fashion designer, which allowed me to deepen my knowledge in the world of gown construction. In addition, I spent time working at two other boutiques during those five years as I moved around and tried to find my place in the world. Both of those boutiques were absolutely wonderful, and although one has since closed, it will always hold a special place in my heart.

Moving to Red Wing allowed me to find not just a community, but a purpose. Through my work with the Red Wing Trolley and local businesses, I’ve come to know the heart of this town: its people, its stories, and its small business spirit.

When I applied for the Red Wing Downtown Main Street Retail & Restaurant Challenge, I poured everything I had into bringing Ivory & Wing to life. The support, encouragement, and belief from this community have meant everything.

Now, as I prepare to open the doors in January 2026, I couldn’t be more excited to welcome every bride who walks through them. As your bridal stylist, I will always listen, guide, and remain eternally grateful that you chose to make Ivory & Wing part of your journey.
